I ordered a floor lamp and tracking numbers from Aramex don't register on the website and I've had SMS messages sent asking to pay custom costs, on Aramex they say they don't ask for money on SMS or emails, which the delivery status is saying it's sent me emails for payment of custom costs. The seller is also displaying another courier company on the delivery status surprise tracking number isn't registered with them either and this morning after asking for a refund I get another two SMS asking for custom payment with UPS and again tracking number not registered. They have insisted I pay the recent SMS custom request from UPS however they have advised me the courier is Aramex. I just want my refund now and I can't raise a issue because it's apparently not due for delivery until end of November????

Were you expecting to pay customs taxes on import or did you pay then at checkout to ebay? What is the value of the item you bought?
If it's not due for delivery until the end of the month then you will have to wait to open any sort of ebay case, but you need to be aware that not paying any import charges that are due will remove your ability to use the money back guarantee.
They might be spoof communications or they might not be. The amount of detail about the purchase will help you decide.

How are those couriers suggesting you pay the charges? Can you contact them direct to ask what is going on?

So when you call the people who supposedly sent the SMS message and/or email, those pople are unable to help you based on the information in the SMS/email?
