I sold 3 bikinis but forgot to put the tops in. Buyer opened a return. I called her as her number was on the address.  She said she still wanted them so I posted the tops recorded delivery. She recieved them. I asked her to close the return several times to no avail.  Ebay is useless as keeps taking me to contact seller. Now she has all 3 bottoms and tops. I paid another £4:20 to post the tops! Any advice would help

Was the return one for item not as described?  Then,  this should have been followed through with paying for their tracked return postage,   refunding through those case details  on receipt of the items.  Then, relisting the items preferably as one listing,  so one postage cost,  for the buyer to buyer again.

If the above wasn't followed nothing else you can do now,  and as long as the buyer doesn't escalate the case the case(s)  will just time out and close.

The case will "time out" if neither of you does anything.

The best [and rather silly] way would have been to send a label to get the "bottoms" back and on receipt give a refund.  Then they buy again ...

I know, I know!

The danger is that the buyer escalates the case, eBay refunds and you are left with nothing.  Even if you explain to eBay they will do nothing.

Hopefully all will be well
