An eBayer seller is using my UK address as their own - some kind of scam?

Hi all, I have a very frustrating situation whereby an eBay seller has set up an account which is using my home address as their business address.

The main inconvenience for me is that the seller seems to be using this address for item returns, of which there seem to be a lot, and I mean a lot! On some occasions, the local postie can be trying to delivery 4 or 5 items to my home!

In one instance, a purchaser actually visited my house to return an item in person, and was quite animated and angry when I told him that this return was nothing to do with me!

At some point last year, I managed to find the eBay sellers name and actually saw in their seller details that they were using my home address. As a result, I contacted eBay to ask them to do something, but I heard nothing back from them. Unfortunately, I can not find the record of this sellers name any longer.

I really don't know how to proceed with this, it's a waste of my time, they post office's time and the poor people who in good faith are returning items, presumably getting no refund from the seller!

Any thoughts or ideas will be really gratefully received!

It may be a seller based overseas is using your address for returns rather than providing labels to return them abroad and is likely your address was simply chosen randomly.  The buyers will be refunded by the seller - as the seller provides the address and the label, buyers will get a refund when tracking shows items have been delivered (to you!).

You will need the name of the business but this can be deal with by Companies House - Ebay always seem very slow to react to complaints like this.
