I started selling on ebay back in April this year, just selling mostly a bunch of my old vintage toys like Care Bears and the likes, though I also sell newly unpacked Pokemon cards I don't wish to keep myself.
Since April I've made over £1000 selling here. Not bad I say. But I have over 300 listings at the moment. A lot of people are watching some of my Care Bear stuff, but no one is making offers? Why is that? Some stuff I own isn't found by another seller on ebay, yet I have up to 18 people watching an item.
Obviously I can lower prices. For stuff I've done that. Everything is also promoted at their daily rates.
I couldn't say what I sell on average a week, but I've noticed it's generally anything from 1 item to 4.
I'm in the process of putting my home up for sale for the first time ever (it was left to me), hopefully soon (just trying to get past their ID stuff which is proving a pain), so I'd like to clear all my unwanted stuff before moving. Not only that, but since a lot of my stuff is vintage, there is value here, some more than others, but value nonetheless.
However, in about 5 weeks from now, through my own fault, I'm not going to have enough money to pay a Klarna payment for my estate agent. I'm guessing it'll come out regardless and leave me in the negatives until I'm next paid. I don't currently work (and struggle to find any, but won't go into that), so I don't get a lot of money, though like I said, it's also my fault I'm in this predicament by spending more than I should have.
I'd like to make at least £140 or so in the next 5 weeks, but how? What can I do?
Solved! Go to Solution.

Excellent advice from @jckl1957 car boots especially in this good weather ( well let's forget yesterday!), is a great place for the type of items you are selling. No packaging or postage costs to contend with, too.
If you stick with eBay then perhaps, group some of those Pokemon cards together, sell them in groups of 6 or 12 for example, again saves on postage costs, and will bring a higher monetary return in one go rather than less than £2 per transaction. None of those cards are of the very rare type so do not need to be listed singularly.
Good luck with the selling and the move ! It's not easy selling on eBay now, there's a lot more competition and seemingly fewer buyers, sales are slow for everyone.

You can't advertise in the forum.
Sales on Ebay are very slow at the moment.
Maybe try a car boot sale if you need to make some cash quickly.
