Does anyone know anything about age verification only gives the option for credit card I don’t have a credit card or need one could a driving license be used was just trying to buy a chainsaw an it won’t let me seems a complete crock of sh@t

I'm afraid not as a credit card is the only form of verification eBay accept.  You have to be 18 years or older to own one.

Many are faced with this dilemma, but those are eBay's rules to be able to buy any bladed item from their site.

Could a family member or friend with a credit card on file buy this item for you, perhaps?
