Adding tracking

Well I sold, dispatched and got a tracking number from post office, came home and nowhere on "more actions" does it have an "add tracking" option.... I am stumped so I am guessing I will have to forfeit the money from that sale and remove other items I have listed as I have no way of using the new convoluted label malarkey, and if there is no way to manually add tracking, after 22 years I may have to use other sites. I have gone round and round in circles, AI assistant went round in circles until I gave up. I cant be the only one that this has happened to surely? Is there anyway at all I can manually add the tracking? I have clicked just about every option and cannot see it anywhere, it took about 5 minutes to find a "mark as despatched" option. This used to be so easy....

Ebay tracking system is still not working/updating tracking and ebay are aware,and looking to fix it.

If you do use tracking and the online website shows items are delivered, then you can contact ebay here and ask them to release the payment for you.Otherwise its a 14 days wait for payments

Thank you for the reply, I couldnt use tracking, I have a number but cannot enter it. So is that a tech issue ? Will I be able to add it when they upload a fix?

If you have a RM receipt reference number you can add to show as delivered online, then that can suffice as tracking for ebay as delivered.

Basically use the Royal Mails own website to enter any tracked/signed for items.

Thanks for replying…. Apparently, the buyer clicked on an option for postage on the listing that I left open. They clicked on evri label and because I was unable to generate that, and went the post office route, I now will have to wait a long time and hope they leave feedback to prove I sent it. Failing that I can maybe apply for the funds after 21 days if the customer doesnt raise an issue….

Your listing had eBay Simple Delivery,if you don't use the label and pay for your own you will not get the postage amount reimbursed

You can try contacting eBay Customer Service to see if they can manually change the tracking number for you

Hi, I did get a call from CS… yes it seems I shot myself in the foot with this one. Is it possible to dispense with the so ironically name “simple postage” is there a setting I can change somewhere?

I believe you have to opt out on each listing.

Thank you for the reply…. That’s a tad of a pain, it’s a shame there isn’t a blanket option to stay traditional postage.
