About item location policy

As i am living in uk i hav just chated with a suppplier but he is in china and will ship items from china..
As while listing item i saw the option for changing item location can i mention item location as china as my supplier will ship it from china

Location is where you and item you are selling is.

I assume you are not selling in the UK without having the items which will be sent direct from China.

If that was the case, then all buyers would be charged 20% VAT with a long wait for delivery. Even if you posted in the UK with location shown as China, ebay would still have to collect the VAT.

Ths item location is where the item is when the buyer buys it.

 

You need to own it at that point.

You must revise any existing listings if the location showing is incorrect. 

 

If the items are being shipped from China then the location must say China, else you're going to get in a mess with import VAT and the postage/courier method you've put (which will be a UK domestic one if the location says UK and not China).
