A seller has asked for my email address to send me a link to pay for a delivery that was advertised as free delivery. 

Is this normal.

No, although if you live in Northern Ireland or the Channel Islands there are problems with Evri in particular charging more.   In that case the seller can ask to cancel and relist with correct postage but that has to be with your agreement.   Otherwise tell the seller to cancel and refund your money.
