As with many private sellers here on ebay I sell at a low price point, typically 99p or £1. With the BPF being 75p+4% that adds a whopping 79% to the price of my item. Thats like selling an item for £100 but the customer having to pay £179 - no one would buy your item - and that is exactly my problem - no-one is buying from me any more as eBay has priced me OFF their platform. Even if someone was mad enough to buy from me rather than a business whose charges HAVE NOT GONE UP so can keep selling at that price point I wouldn't get paid for ages. eBay say that it is best to send items tracked. who is going to pay £3.25 to track an item valued (to the seller) at £1. So, not only have eBay priced me off their platform by adding 79% to my product they are forcing me to wait AT LEAST 2 weeks to get paid or add another £3.25 to the price instead of an 85p stamp. eBay said in January that the number of sellers on the platform has increased as there were no longer any selling fees but this is still a "fee paying" platform. We had buyer protection prior to "no selling fees" so what has changed? I am not in any way saying that eBay shouldn't make a profit but they need to think about what the Buyer and the Seller are paying (and suffering). We had three months of pure bliss and then eBay mess it up again
