Ebay won't investigate this issue - they just don't have staff for that sort of complaint.

You could try Trading Standards although they won't act on a single complaint.

If you have not yet left feedback, you can leave feedback to warn other potential buyers.

You can also open a return to get your money back.  You will need to return the item if you do that.

You do not contact ebay, you open a NOT AS DESCRIBED RETURN. Seller has to supply a tracked return label and on return refund in full.

The 30 day money back guarantee is on every listing, right side. Why don’t you read it?

eBay will not want it to investigate. Their only involvement will be If you are still in time to open a case under eBay's money back guarantee. They will accept your word that it was faulty and the seller will be required to refund you. The time limit is 30 days from the date of delivery, so you should still be in time. There is a link to this in every qualifying listing, or see: https://pages.ebay.co.uk/ebay-money-back-guarantee/

With regard to the "the dangers of these cheap electric heaters" eBay warned you in the user agreement that "they do not guarantee the existence, quality, safety or legality of items advertised, or the truth or accuracy of descriptions". So you can't say you were not warned. Buying on eBay isn't like the shops. eBay is a jungle.

Where is the seller registered? To check this you may need to go to their feedback page. If in the UK, it should ideally be reported to reading standards. You might even be able to get eBay customer support to waive the usual requirement to return it to the seller so that trading standards can investigate.

If the seller is in China UK safety standards do not apply to them. If bought for delivery direct from China, if anyone is responsible for any non-compliance it's probably you as the importer.
