withheld payment until item is delivered policy

Is what E bay doing regarding the withheld payment, policy Legal. I have Sellers level of ABOVE STANDARD. Transaction defaults 0%00.Late delivery 0%00.Have been asked to become aTop Seller. Yet twice after selling items. with a time lapse between sales. I am informed that MY payments are being withheld until delivery .As i am on a probation period.? When I sell an item the buyer is paying me for the goods. Not Ebay. Who are payed a fee for the priviledge of selling my items. Also I am paying for the postal service of the items  without psyment from the buyer until Ebay release the money. Which is in their account . I strongly disagree with this policy. in my instance.  Anyone else of the same opinion ?

You can disagree as much as you want, the policy is applied to all new and infrequent sellers.

If you don't agree with it then you'll have to find somewhere else to sell your items.

I also doubt ebay see it as a privilege to sell your or my items to be honest

I am not an infrequent seller . I f you read the post .I have above average selling. And Zero negative . transactions. Also asked to become a Top seller. Ebay are paid to list .And sell items.

the last feedback you received as a seller was neutral that says:-

Not as described. Difficult seller needed eBay to sort out


so you are not exactly a 'top seller'!

you don't get 'invited' to be a top rated seller, you are given top rated seller status if you fulfil the criteria

You came to this forum asking for opinion and you have received just that from members with far more selling experience than you do.

Your feedback profile as a seller tells everyone that until very recently you hadn't sold anything for over a year, that makes you an infrequent seller.

You are not being treated any differently to other sellers who sell as infrequently as you do and you are taking this far too personally.

Your seller status is bound to have lots of 0% as you sell very few items and very infrequently.

That comment alone shows your inexperience on eBay........it is sent to virtually every eBay member with a seller account on eBay even those who do not sell .....

If you knew the T&C of becoming a Top Rated Seller which for one thing requires you registering as a business seller with £1000's in annual sales you would know this

Cases closed without seller resolution less than or equal to 0.3%, and 2 or less cases
