unpaid item case

I bought 3 items from the one seller. I repeatedly asked him for a total taking into account combined postage. He didn't reply for 9 days and that was only after I left neutral feedback saying so. He then opened 3 unpaid item cases against me. I appealed the cases individually and ebay replied to all 3 with

 

"Thank you for contacting us about the unpaid item recorded on your account. Based on the information you gave us, we've removed the unpaid item from your account."

 

My question is do I need to pay (I have 2 days to do so) or is that it decided - I won't get strikes? The 3 cases are still open. TIA

there is nothing on that sellers listings to suggest he will combine postage,

 

 

did you ask before bidding if they would combine?

 

 

if not, they have every right not to combine and to expect you to pay the full amount,

 

 

I'm amazed ebay have said they will remove the strikes, as you haven't paid for the items.
