transcom

hey,

i have resived so far 3 letters from transcom but i belive for the to be false as the letter states a different phone number (0113 212 3065) where as their real number is 0844 742 2062.

i have contacted ebay and they are saying i do not own them anything as i have never sold anything on ebay. but recently i have recived a letter again saying that the listed fee is for the user tsaimcnvvzoe_5, but the thing is that this is not my user and have never seen it.

i have contacted the number 0113 212 3065 mulitpul times to troll them whiles seeing if they are scammers or not by calling them contiusly and saying i want a pizza. from what i have found out is that; out of 5 phone calls the same person picks up.

if this is scam. think i know where they got it my informtion from. i recently purched on ebay a surface pro 4(new) for ~£200 (normally worth ~£800) at the start i thought it was a scam as it is too good to be true as the user had 0 ratings and that account was recently made, but i just went for it and purched the item. I waited for a week then i started sending messages asking when the item going to be delivered .... he never replied. after a month of contriues messages i send, i deceided to reported this to ebay and managed to get my money back.

sorry for the long text but is this really a scam or just some random miss understanding and if they r scammers what i should do?

should i troll them?

report this to the police. but will this make any difference?

You are the second person recently to ask a similar question. The other user phoned eBay, who said they didn't owe anything, and that the letter was a "spoof".

I think this was a typical nonsense eBay reply. Debt collecting firms don't send "spoof" letters. I suspect that the reality - which seems to be confirmed by your experience - is that eBay has sent them debt collection information intended for another user.

Anyway, the answer is simple. If you genuinely don't owe eBay anything you have nothing to worry about. In your position I'd phone transcom and point out that a mistake has been made.

First just make 100% certain that you don't owe eBay anything. To so this, go to My eBay, Account, Summary, View all account activity, fees. If there's no invoice there you don't owe anything.
