returning an item without tracking number

Hello,

what should i write into tracking number information, if there was no tracking number for the item i sent back as return.

I cannot go further in the standard ebay return procedure, cannot mark as dispatched as long as i dont write a valid tracking number.

Without a tracking number you might just as well give up. Did you use a parcel, if so the proof of posting has a 16 digit tracking number, use that.

Why ever didn't you read and follow instructions, proof of delivery is essential for any problems on ebay.
