returning an item without tracking number

Hello,

what should i write into tracking number information, if there was no tracking number for the item i sent back as return.

I cannot go further in the standard ebay return procedure, cannot mark as dispatched as long as i dont write a valid tracking number.

You cannot progress the return without a tracking number.  If you used Royal Mail they're now using delivery confirmation as standard on all small or medium UK parcels (not large letter), so check your postage receipt for the tracking reference number.

Otherwise you are reliant on the seller being honest and refunding your money after they get the item back.

Without a tracking number you might just as well give up. Did you use a parcel, if so the proof of posting has a 16 digit tracking number, use that.

Why ever didn't you read and follow instructions, proof of delivery is essential for any problems on ebay.
