i refunded an item that the buyer wasn't happy with and asked him to return it

 Good morning,

I sold an item to abuyer which when he recieved was'nt as described. I had used a stock photo and info of the product but the product was an earlier edition. My mistake and i admitted as such. However not being familiar with the process i immediately refunded the item and paid pstage for its return , but to date i have not received it back yet. Its been 8 days since the dispute.  What can i do ? It could be of course that he is on holiday but i have sent several emails but no reply.

The buyer should have opened a not as described dispute.

 

You send a pre paid label and only refund once you have the item back.

 

Now you have refunded then there is no way to force the buyer to return your item.

 

You also should have refunded through the resolution centre as if you just refunded thorugh paypal you will be left with the final value fees and a defect on your account
