purchased an audio interface but didnt receive all the advertised leads. contacted seller several times and then contacted eBay to resolve issue, their response was no case to reolve!! i don't understand why? any thoughts?
If you didn't open a case, then how can it be resolved?
Open a case now but make sure you open a case using the reason "Not as described" and ebay will provide a reply paid label at seller's expense. Then if tracking shows as delivered back to seller and he does not refund, THEN you can escalate the case to ebay.
It does help if buyers actually read the Money Back Guarantee, which is on EVERY listing top right and follow the correct procedure.
If eBay says there is no case to resolve, have you actually opened one?
If not, there's no point in calling eBay's money back guarantee useless. You need to open one while you're still within the 30 day time limit.
In fact, eBay's MBG is extremely good for buyers. It's almost impossible to lose if you act within the timelines and follow the instructions.
There is no reason why a buyer should lose a not as described dispute if it is done correctly.
Did you open the correct dispute and escalate?
You open a not as described dispute at the bottom of the page under Resolution Centre.
Escalate it after a full 3 days of opening the dispute.
The seller needs to send a pre paid label for the return.
If they dont then ebay should when you escalate the dispute.
Make sure it goes back tracked and that the tracking is in the dispute.
You have 30 days from the day of delivery to open a dispute in ebay
Read up on the Ebay money back guarantee
If you paid by paypal then try there but sign up to their return postage first if you can
Follow the instructions carefully and escalate as soon as you can but with in 20n days.
If that does not work and they are a business then contactCitizens advice as you may have rights under UK law.
You have only 30 days to open a formal 'Item not as described' (missing parts) case from delivery date ... after 3 days, escalate the case to eBay and continue to completion for a refund in full ... to and fro messages will not do it ! >
