Hi
I sold a coat, buyer happy so I thought but has relisted the coat using some of pictures and text.
Reported to ebay on Monday the 30th of November, and surprise the item is still for sale.
Really how long does it take to remove an item that is infringing copyright?
And I cannot find another option to take it further.
Thanks Susan
If you scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "Site Map" look at bottom right hand corner of the next page that loads up. You should see an option that reads "A - Z Index" - click on this and you'll see all the letters of the alphabet displayed on the page. Click on "P" and from the menu that appears click on the option that reads "Photos - Content And Picture Theft (Policy)". If you click on that link it'll take you to the next page where you can report the matter. Select the first option from the list on that page which reads "Report A Listing" - the next page has a link reading "Contact Us To Report It". Click on that link - you may be asked to log in again but once you're back in you should be able to report the matter. Make sure you have the item number of the listing to hand, and if possible, the item number of your own listing. I used this option once to report somebody who did the same thing to me and eBay took the ad offline within twenty-four hours of my report being submitted.
One last tip - if you have the misfortune to get through to somebody who doesn't seem very customer-focused then make a point of actively chasing the matter up each day until the listing gets taken down. If they know that you'll constantly be on their back until they remove the listing which has violated their own policies then they'll probably feel more inclined to get the matter sorted, especially if you point out that the listing violates their policies yet they appear to be turning a blind eye to it!
