Why does ebay ban legitimate words that are not offensive from their online feedback forms, yet allow derogatory and vulgar terms instead?
I bought an item of special underwear that was called a "**bleep** sleeve/ cover pouch" which is basically a sleeve worn over the **bleep** and scrotum as underwear
(https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/303498011376)
. When I tried to place feedback after getting reminders from Ebay to do so, it would not allow me to use the word PEN1S as part of the description of the item, although this is what the name is and what it is listed as. Ebay's message was "We do not allow swear words". However, trying other vulgar substitutes such as DICK and C0CK seem to work, so please explain this!!
the 'bot' is American
those words aren't rude in American English!
