Got a warning from ebay for asking a seller for contact details on a pick for free item. So how am to pick up the item without the contact details?
once you actually purchase the item the seller can send you an invoice with his contact details,
it is against the rules to share contact details before a purchase is made.
eBay sent emails to all users months ago to clarify the ruling which has always been in place.
Too many off eBay sales were being made, that is, adresses give out before purchase, and so no eBay fees paid.
So this is how it needs to be done..... Buyer buys item. Buyer comes to inspect, if all is OK they pay cash, and you mark as paid and dispatched. If they do not wish to buy after inspection, you issue them a cancellation request, citing buyer requests to cancel, once they accept, fees are refunded, and you can relist if you wish.
