Transacting outside eBay?

Hi,

I won a bid and asked the seller to post Royal Mail. THey said they would and the p&p would be what it was on the original listing, so pay up. I paid. A day later they say the postage is more, and not to pay by the extra by PayPal but do a bank transfer for the extra postage. This wasn't on the bid, I want to remain with PP and inside eBay for safety's sake.

I feel I am being messed around here.

Please advise.

Thanks.

Ps. correction, they said the postage could be 'more or less', now they say it's more. They also said the sooner I paid the sooner they'd send out, so I paid. I have no problem paying the extra postage by PP but now the seller is going on about paying the extra by bank transfer, this is a totally unnecessary hassle, I agreed to pay by PP why should I get involved with a bank transfer outside Ebay? There was no option to pay this way through Ebay, and in any case I want to use PayPal.

Pps.

This page is not allowing me to reply. 😠

I told the seller to send it and that I was 'unhappy' and told them they should have waited anyway until they had an acurate idea of the postage. All the pressure to pay was coming from them. I don't mind paying a little extra but I am extremely suspicious about the odd way this is being suggested - I will not transact outside Ebay. I paid a reasonable sum for the item and am now being put through this hassle & worry for an extra 6 quid, it is outrageous, it is greedy. I have sold things on the Bay and probably underestimated slightly on postage and packing - I have never followed up with an instruction to send me a fiver by way of bank transfer. They said PayPal was charging them too much - is that my problem? 😮

The seller can only ask for the P&P on the listing

Pay no more.....if the item does not arrive by the last estimated delivery date open a not received case

Do not even consider sending more through Paypal either
