How can we help you when you give so little factual information?
When did you buy these items, and how did you pay? What was the reason for returning one of the items?
How did you return it, and did you use one of eBay return procedures through the resolution centre?
What case did the seller open? The only case a seller can open is an unpaid item case, and you must have paid or they wouldn't have sent you the items.
Can I suggest that you sleep on it tonight, they try to explain things more clearly in the morning.
Sorry makes no sense! The seller can only open an Unpaid Case, if so why did they send you the trousers?
More information is needed to explain what has happened. Why are you returning? Have you opened a return Case?
Did you buy two pairs as one item and if so did you make just one payment?
