No, but seriously?
1. I sold five items this month. The first five items listed. Whyam I paying insertions fees?
2. One item sold £1.01. I have to pay a £0.36 insertion fee, plus a £1.77 final value fee. That £2.13. Twice of what I got for the item. that's just one example. Why?
3. The money I made is being held back for some reason or other unknown to me, for a period of 21 days or so, it's not entirely clear when I can get them and paypal cannot answer because ebay are holding on to it. My account is in good standing and my performance level is "above standard". But, get this, I have got an invoice to the tune of £14.14 that is deducted automatically from my account sometime between Nov 30 and Dec 2.
Why? What for?
Seriously?
Is there something I haven't read?
Did you read up on the selling fee structure before listing?
http://sellercentre.ebay.co.uk/introduction-ebay-fees?cat=37
Ebay charge a final selling fee of 10% of the total amount the buyer pays you, Paypal charge 3.4% of the amount the buyer pays you + 20p.
If you have been charged insertion/listing fees then they would have been flagged on the selling form before you submitted your listing.
Why start an auction at 1p and £11 for p+p? Sorry but that was silly. Never assume you will get more than one bid, so always start your auction at the minimum you'd be happy to sell for.
