Selling fees

No, but seriously?

1. I sold five items this month. The first five items listed. Whyam I paying insertions fees?

2. One item sold £1.01. I have to pay a £0.36 insertion fee, plus a £1.77 final value fee. That £2.13. Twice of what I got for the item. that's just one example. Why?

3. The money I made is being held back for some reason or other unknown to me, for a period of 21 days or so, it's not entirely clear when I can get them and paypal cannot answer because ebay are holding on to it. My account is in good standing and my performance level is "above standard". But, get this, I have got an invoice to the tune of £14.14 that is deducted automatically from my account sometime between Nov 30 and Dec 2.

Why? What for?

Seriously?

Is there something I haven't read?

Maybe you haven't read the invoice if you don't know what it's for, if you view invoice in your ebay account all charges are itemised.

Ebay charge 10% fee on both sale price and postage and if you're sending to UK from Denmark then the postage will be more costly, you should factor the 10% into your start price.

It isn't worth selling goods for £1 even within UK because of postage cost fee

Your sales and postage came to just over £140 last month so charge sounds about right
