Hi, I hope someone can help.
I was the winning bidder of an iphone and paid straight away via paypal, 5 minutes later the seller then cancelled the order. When I messaged him to ask why he cancelled the order he said that he sold it to someone else for a much better price and he was just posting it to the other person. It looked like he managed to cancel it on behalf of the buyer (myself) which seems strange. He has now messaged me to say I have to agree to the cancellation before I can get my refund but I haven't agreed to the cancellation as I never wanted to cancel it.
I have since given him bad feedback and reported him to eBay for being in breech of their policies. I also informed paypal but the payment had already gone through. I could not find out how to get eBay to step in as it just seems to loop me around from one information page to the next.
I don't want to agree to the cancellation yet as I fear the records will disappear and he gets away with it. Does anyone know how I can get eBay to step in? I want my money back but I also think the buyer should be charged the full selling fee to discourage him from doing this again.
Indeed @karinperry2008
The item might arrive up to the latest date for delivery on the summary. Until then the option does not appear. Go to resolution centre then and open the case. Escalate after 3 full business days and you should get your refund
Leave simple feedback [-ve] such as "would not honour sale".
