Hello, I won a cd after a ten day auction for £10.49 the seller then cancelled the order and immediately re listed it for £35. Can the seller do this? I was under the impression the seller was obligated to honour the sale. Thank you for your advice.
No-one can force a seller to sell, any more than they can force a buyer to pay.
However unless you agree to the cancelaltion the seller will still have to pay eBay a 10% fee for the sale, and will receive a damaging defect on their account. It doesn't take many defects to be banned from selling.
