I sold a large item of furniture on the 10th September, and the buyer had it collected from me. Shortly after he posted a positive feedback saying he was happy with the item and the collection, and it was as described. However, he messaged me last week saying the item was dirty and he wanted money towards cleaning. I refused on the grounds of both his feedback and the fact that I know it was in good order when it left me.
Now he had begun a returns claim and Ebay are backing him 100%. I've tried to explain the situation to them, but they have no interest in what I have to say. I would appreciate an opinion on whether I have any rights in this matter.
If the buyer opened the case after 30 days they will not be able to escalate it and it will expire without refund.
