What protection do sellers have when a purchaser is not home to sign for an item? We sent an item to a purchaser who was not home to sign for it each time Royal mail tried to deliver, he told us that he works six days a week and cannot be home to sign for it more will he go to the sorting office to collect it, even though it is two streets away from him!?! The pack is soon to be returned to us so we will have to resend it at our cost for the same thing to happen again, where do we stand as in protection from this purchaser, we have done our best but this guy just refuses to get off him posterior to help himself.
Nothing you can do, Royal Mail will keep it for 18 days then send it back to you.
If this happens, just refund the buyer. There is little point in sending it out again, only to have the whole scenario re-enacted.
