Primark gift cards

Anyone else purchased Primark gift cards from the above company. I bought a £200 gift card, the card worked first time I used it early March. Tried using again on Monday (July) and it wouldn't work, contacted Primark C.S, they said it's a fraudulent card. I can't open a case via ebay as it's past 90 days and the seller isn't responding.

I don't understand how it worked once, surely it was always fruadulent?

Primark said it's just come to their attention now so they've blocked all cards that weren't purchased off their website, I genuinely throught maybe there was a blip in the gift card system so I gave contacted Primark customer services, gave the card number and they said that's been identified as one of the fraudulent ones. Needless to say I was shocked.

Update: I contacted PayPal not expecting much (as there's something in T&C about not refunding for gift cards) but they have refunded in full.
Maybe PayPal have received complaints from others for said company as I know they sold alot.
Anyway, money is back now. Thank you for your comments. Much appreciated.
