Anyone else purchased Primark gift cards from the above company. I bought a £200 gift card, the card worked first time I used it early March. Tried using again on Monday (July) and it wouldn't work, contacted Primark C.S, they said it's a fraudulent card. I can't open a case via ebay as it's past 90 days and the seller isn't responding.
I don't understand how it worked once, surely it was always fruadulent?
This doesn't hang together. If you successfully used part of the value in March how can the card have been fraudulent?
Are you sure that the card allowed multiple uses? With some gift cards they can only be used once, and you're expected to buy goods equal to or greater than the value of the card, or you lose the balance. My suspicion is that this may be what has happened. Read the terms carefully before treating it as fraudulent.
If it really is a fraudulent card you could possibly still open a case under PayPal's 180 day buyer protection policy. They've recently changed some of the conditions, I can't remember whether it excludes gift cards. You can check this in their user agreement.
Your problem may be as above - that if you've used part of the value you can't expect a refund for the full cost. But if you used part of the value how can you expect PayPal to treat it as a fake card? PayPal will probaly require written evidence.
