hi can any one tell me why I can look at an item on eBay and it says. Free P and P. Or X amount postage , then you discover that you have to collect the item

i have been caught out two times and buyer does take money from pay pal account then won't return money or even answer you messages. 

I don't want to keep starting a resolution.     Karen

Firstly if you are seeing free p&p in a general search then that is a fault with ebay's search software.

Secondly , if ever  your payment in paypal shows as unclaimed then you can simply cancel the payment and the money will be returned to you.

Use common sense with  big heavy items which show free p&p or a low postage cost. Read the description and double check with the seller if you are not absolutely sure.

I actually think you are getting confused somehow. You left feedback for a rug stating you were  not sure if it was pick up or delivery. The listing could not have been clearer. It just said "Free collection in person" and the seller said where it had to be collected from.

Feedback is  not a message board. Neutral and negative feedback ruins a seller's account.
