what can be done about sellers who start auctions at 99p and when the item sells for that refuse to supply it? I think they should be thrown off eBay completely
Some sellers, just do not understand how eBay works! They think listing at 99p ( eBay's recommendation?!), then if a high price isn't reached, they are allowed not to post, with no penalties.
Nope! eBay do not like unhappy buyers, so whilst the penalty of paying a seller's fee may end up being a few pence, the defect their account receives, is more damaging.
It does not take too many defects to close a Private sellers account down permanently, they're booted off, never allowed to return.
As I said, eBay do not like unhappy buyers!
