Negative feed back unpaid items

Can some one tell me why we cannot put negative feed back on time wasters that don’t pay.   Once opening a unpaid case.  Or why we cannot see these people waste others time and effort

This was stopped around 10 years ago,  as it was becoming tit for tat,  and even some sellers holding buyers to blackmail/ ransom,  for changing their feedback for refunds.

This is why the leaving of negative feedback for buyers does not work,  and I stress it is a policy violation,  strike for your account if you do.

A seller selling Buy it Now items has no time to read any feedback from their buyer.  So a serial non payer say with 20 feedbacks stressing they do not pay,  would still be able to buy from that poor,  unsuspecting seller.  Now,  had the first 2 of those 20 opened unpaid item cases,  and closed them on day 5,  those 2 unpaid item strikes would have stopped the buyer buying from the other 18 ( if they had set their site prefs correctly),   and stoppedf them buying from the majority of sellers on eBay for a full 12 months.

So you see far more effective.

thanks for this, but i think it would still be effective in there feed back summary where it registers there positive and neutral etc score to show that they are non payers but thanks for coming back

It would not be effective, it would be abused again & as a seller would be more damaging for you as you would probably receive tit for tat negative...the unpaid case means neither party can leave ANY feedback

Another problem with that idea OP, is that competitors could then flood the opposition with bad feedback and ruin their account, believe me, the idea was used and abused for many years, so in the end, eBay ended the leaving of bad feedback for buyers.

Truly if everyone followed the rules for non payers, not only would they not be able to buy from the majority of sellers on eBay for 12 months, but a long record of non paying would see them booted off the site permanently, in the end too. Cases do work, they are effective.
