Money Back Payments

The Situation;  if I send an item from the UK to an EU Country, Tracked and Signed for and 4 weeks later the item arrives back with me with the note for the Post Office in the EU country Recipient failed to collect from Post Office so Parcel returned to seller will I have to refund the buyer the International Tracking and Signed for postage costs. I have the item back so can sell it again but I've paid out the postage costs and If these are refunded then I'm out of pocket to a considerable amount as regards the price of the goods.

As I see it, the fault is with the buyer from not collecting the items and the first I knew about the items not being collected was when they arrived back with me.

Anybody have an answer to this one?

If buyer opens not received case, you have to prove delivery, which you can't, so have to refund in full,

yes you will lose money, but that is ebay policy.

I wouldn't chase buyer, but if they complain, make sure they open case, you refund through it & get ebay fees credited.
