Marked as paid by mistake

Hi I’ve marked a item as paid by mistake. The system doesn’t let me unmark, what should I do now?

You should be able to mark as not paid to the right of the item in your sold section under More actions.

I have just checked with my sold items and it is there for me.

If you are using a mobile then you may need to use a computer

Hi Redwick, yes there’s a button “unmark as paid” but it doesn’t work. I think it might be because I cancelled the sell?

That would be the reason you can not mark it as unpaid if you have cancelled it.
When you cancel an item then ebay would expect you to refund through the cancellation

It does leave it open to a dishonest buyer opening a not received dispute,

I think when I cancelled the order I’ve chosen the option problem with delivery address. It didn’t had any option to the problem like buyer not answering emails

If your buyer does not pay then you open a non payment dispute after 2 days and then close after another 4 full days.

Too late it has ended. Now you will be expected to post to a non payer.

Are you sure that you cannot mark as unpaid, you won't be able to open an Unpaid case though and will have to pay a selling fee. Where you marked as paid, in MORE ACTIONS, it will now have Mark as unpaid.

I see you sold it once before, did you complete an unpaid case to get the selling fee refunded.

If you cancelled the sale after it had sold I suspect that you will pay the 10% fee unless the buyer agreed

I’ve cancelled the sale because the buyer was supposed to collect the item but he never came and stopped answering my emails. Then by mistake I marked the sale as paid and now I can’t go back and unmark as paid.

You should not have cancelled the sale

If a buyer does not pay then you open a non payment dispute after 2 days and close after another 4 days to get your final value fees back

The buyer gets a strike and neither of you can leave feedback

If the sale wasn’t paid it’s not a sale. The buyer stopped answering my emails.

If the buyer bought it on ebay and it came off sold but the buyer did not pay then you soldl it
If they are non paying bidders and you open a non payment dispute.
Ebay charge their fees for selling as soon as the item sells so you needed to do the dispute to get your final value fees back

If you cancelled it then depending on how you did that you can end up paying the fees
