I have had an issue with a buyer who (with hindsight), was troublesome from the start.
I was selling a pair of shoes on a Buy It Now or Offer for £60. She sent me an offer of £10 which I declined. She sent it a second time, to which I sent a counter offer of £30. She then sent me a message that said "you need to accept my offer of £10. It is all that I can afford". I replied, that I am sorry, but the absolute best I could do is £30. After a further offer of £10 which I declined, the item ended and I relisted. She finally put in an offer of £30, which I accepted. She then took a further 10 days to pay.
No sooner had I received payment and posted the item, I notice that she is no longer a member of ebay! What do I do at this stage, but wait to see what happens.
A few days later, she is claiming that her parcel has not arrived. I send the tracking number and it has been received.
Two weeks later, she emails me that she is unhappy with the shoes, to which I replied that she should start a return via Ebay!
Help! What will happen now? Will she be able to get her money back through Paypal. I am pretty sure that they aren't going to be returned!
The buyer could open a case in Paypal's resolution centre, however if you accept the claim the buyer will have to pay the return postage cost themselves which may put them off pursuing it further.
