Listing Withdrawn

 I have had a listing removed because of a violation, I used the term Lowry Style in a painting description but made it quite clear the painting was by me.When I search the term "Lowry Style" a large number of listings come up, why have I been singled out?

I have merely acknowledged the style used, not copied a work or tried to claim it is actually by Lowry.What form of words should I use to describe the style of a painting when it is done in the style of for example Van Gogh and Starry Night.? Nothing artistically wrong with this as long as an acknowledgement of the style used and the artist are given.

Hello.

Listing in that manner is known as keyword spamming which is banned on Ebay.

You are not allowed to say in the style of etc etc

You are not allowed to put any disclaimers on listings either.

You are not allowed to say it is in the style of any famous artist if it was not actually painted by them.

I would be very careful about relisting this particular item as Ebay have already removed it once and it is likely to be flagged.

Personally i would not relist it  as Ebay can/will suspend your account either temporarily or permanently 😞
