Hello, hope someone can advise. Have been an ebay and Paypal customer for over ten years,
Recently paypal limited my account stating there had been a security breach from San Jose.
I am in the uk so assured them it was not me! I was then asked to provide passport driving licence and
proof of address details to lift the limitations on my account.
I did this reluctantly but no reply and limitations are still in place.
I cannot purchase on ebay. I have heard there are many problems with Paypal now.
I will have to stop using ebay now.
All advice welcome, many thanks.

I take it that you have satisfied yourself that these messages from PayPal are authentic?
If so, none of us can help you if your account has been restricted for secutity reasons. PayPal is entitled to suspend accounts and ask for personal ID and other information. Once they have resolved the issue you can ask then to reinstate your account.
If you are in dispute with PayPal you can refer it to their complaints procedure, then if necessary to the financial ombudsman. All of this is explained in the user agreement.
First make sure you read the user agreement fully and carefully. There is no point in complaining about actions which PayPal is allowed to take under the user agreement.
