A customer purchased a brand new OEM part for a car and left negative feedback claiming the item was not a genuine oem part. Even though it is clearly stamped with manufacturer name and part number. I have sold over 500 of these in 2 years with 0 negative feedback. I obviously offered a free return which was declined and eBay refuse to remove feedback as this is the true opinion of the buyer. Surely this can't be right.
Unfortunately it is too late to have those negatives removed , over 6 months old, only one actually eBay might have removed.
It didn't actually break any eBay rules to be fair. The only way you could have had this changed was to somehow appease the buyer, and then to have sent them a feedback revision to complete. Not easy, and can be received with a negative response, as before too late for this course of action, too.
I agree with everything you have said, it's disheartening for any conscientious seller on receiving a neg, and they try to amend the issue with a buyer to no avail. It happens, a polite follow up is all you can do.
eBay will only remove feedback if it breaks feedback rules, that is , there is a mention of a refund, a case , or buyer asking for something that was not specified in the listing. Bad language and calling an item a fake is not allowed either
