Can anybody advise regarding makeing an equirey to a seller that appears not to respond. Three attempts have be made but no response, yes I could ring but I'm not always near a phone.

Is this for a live listing? If so and you are asking for any kind of contact information then the seller must not respond and you may find that you get suspended for 7 days.
If you are not asking for contact information but these are general questions, then if the seller is not responding I would take that as a sign that you should be walking away from a seller like that.
If you are trying to contact a seller about an overdue or not-as-described item, use the resolution centre to open a case and follow through:-
