There is no email address to send questions to, no chat available. And the topics that ebay hard code into your selection do not cover the topic at all
So I am left to write here!
Since Covid-19 I notice that many suppliers from China are advertising on eBay UK and state that the product is currently located in the UK which is a lie. When the package arrives it obviously comes from China! I do not wish to buy from China and this is blatant fraud.
Apparently in Leicestershire but package arrived and was from China
Also it is a copy of a product developed by a UK company recently on the TV program The Customer is always right and so presumably contravenes copyright.
But it seems that eBay don't care as long as they are getting their commission
eBay do not answer to email, and yes because of Covid , staff numbers are down, and there is no phone contact, but Live Chat is aviailable , scroll around and the option is there.
Hope I can help you.
Even before Covid , Chinese and international sellers do have depots in the UK from where they send out their stock, this to obviously facilitate a faster dispatch, all above board , and legal.
Now! if the item location shows the UK with a short dispatch time, and the item arrives late, allowing for the recent Covid delays in postage, but with a tell tale sign of a Chinese stamp, then that is reportable for country misrepresentation. Reprt item function, half way down right hand side of item.
Unfortunately , seeking out UK items only finds the location of the item, not the registered country of the seller, but that is not hidden, just click on the sellers feedback score , and their country of registration shows on their profile, giving you the choice whether then to buy from them or not.
Hope the above helps.
