Charged final value fee on unsold car ?

I had a car for sale on bids. Winning bidder was a scammer, refused to pay and wanted the car a lot cheaper than winning bid. After 4 days I cancelled and relisted. eBay have charged the final value fee. Why have they charged me when the car hasn't sold. ? Is this normal. ?

How did you cancel?.

It should have been a non payment dispute and when you close it you get your fees back

Check your payments on the seller hub and see if they have been credited to your account

If you just cancelled in the wrong way then you may be charged the fees because the item was sold

I cancelled as advised by eBay over phone. Waited 4 days days then cancel unpaid item. But I'm being charged £69 final fee as it still says says 1 sold but it has also realised for fee as unsold ??

I am not quite sure how it works on managed payments but when an item is sold the fees are charged straight away to your account. If you do the non payment then the fees are refunded. It used to be that they were on your ebay account until the next invoice or you could request that it be returned to paypal. As said Check the payment section on the seller hub. Have you dont that?It will tell you exactly what charges or refunds have been made

If you had a winning bidder, the vehicle was not unsold. It was sold, but to a buyer who didn't pay.

Your final value fee (but no other fees) will then be credited back to your account. The buyer will receive an unpaid item strike from eBay, which will stay on their account for a year.
