Buyer want item to post to different address, is that safe and common request?

No, you must only post to the address given to you in your Paypal email. Posting anywhere else will lose you your seller protection.

Make sure you send it tracked and insured and add the tracking number to the transaction, making sure ti keep your postage receipt for 13 months to protect yourself against chargebacks.

If your buyer is isnsisting they want it sent to a different address, cancel the sale using 'buyer asked to cancel' and ask buyer to add their address at checkout when he buys iy again. You would have to relist the item for the buyer.

Here my situation, I've sold this item through my newly opened 2nd eBay account. Because of this eBay is holding my fund, and not release it until dispatched or before the the 3 wks period.

So no payment to my PayPal, and ebay want it dispatched or they won't give me the money. Plus, buyer wants it post to different address, I might just cancel the deal.

A satisfying solution for both parties is tricky.

Ebay had said after 21 days the funds will be automatically released, because buyer has paid I must dispatch now. Somehow I feel uncomfortable not knowing if that's true.

If buyer contacts seller to post to another address through ebay messaging, is that considered as prove and ebay will protect me if it were to be a scam?

No you won't be covered if you send the Item to any other address other than the one EBay has given you. Enter the Tracking Number into Dispatch and your Funds will be Released in a week or so. As soon as Delivery is Confirmed.

After I slept on it, I've decided to cancel the deal it just does not feel right. I rather lose a little than the item and money.
