Buyer offer accepted but then buyer did not pay. Can I leave buyer negative feedback?

Buyer accepted my counter offer but then decided not to buy the item. Reason given was that after ‘buying’ my item (and not paying for it) he/she was no longer interested because he/she had ‘now found one cheaper’.
I want to leave negative feedback but do not seem to have that option?

The way to deal with a non-paying buyer is to open and complete an Item Not Paid case in the Resolution Centre:

http://resolutioncentre.ebay.co.uk/

If you do that your selling fees will be refunded. More than that though the buyer will be given a defect (black mark/ demerit) on their account.

If they do not pay another seller in the next 12 months and that seller completes another UPI case, that will restrict the buyers buying activity severely as sellers can block buyers with two black marks on their account in 12 months.

Have you set up your account that way?

Add the buyer to your BBL.

Don’t be tempted to retaliate by buying from the member and then not paying. That is also against eBay policy and can severely damage your own account.

While we feel your frustration the option to open and close a non-payer case is a powerful one. Yes - you will get your fees back but better - much better - is the fact that the buyer will get a defect.

This helps the whole community of sellers [who are believed to get little protection] in that should the buyer get another non-payer defect most sellers will not sell to him which is - surely - an amazing result?   Get rid of non-payers!

Did you do the non payment dispute?.

If you have a non payer you open a non payment dispute at the bottom of the page under Resolution Centre.

You can open one after 2 days and close after another 4 days.

You get your final value fees back the non payer gets a strike and neither of you can leave feedback.

If you dont do this then ebay do not know you did not get paid and you have to pay the fees.

You have 32 days to open a dispute

The strike the buyer gets is much better than any feedback as two or more and they will not be able to buy off many sellers

Put them on your blocked bidders list

over 10 years ago eBay stopped sellers leaving buyers bad feedback - open an unpaid case and follow it through -
