I have a buyer with zero feedback that has paid for an item but is asking for other details like my name, email, address, phone number. The item is collection only so I can understand they need the address which I have given them, but the buyer is making me suspicious.
Their address is a shipping unit/business address and they are also asking if they can use the pictures of the item to resell it.
Should I cancel the transaction and refund the buyer?
Name and addess and a phone number will be enough. Better to have paid in cash when they pick up.
They can do what they like if they wish to resell but should use their own photos
They will [under the new rules] need to request cancellation [Announcements June 2020] or you will get no fee credit.
Collection items should be collected in person and paid in cash.
Your risk here is that seller will collect, then claim not received and and you have to refund in full.
Asking too many questions after buying always seems to be a bit suspicious. You will have an unknown person come to collect, they could later claim it was not them, the buyer, and you don't have a leg to stand on.
This is one of the reasons for the new system being used by ebay, but it only works if both buyer and seller are using the Ebay app. A code is sent to the buyer's phone and on collection shown to the seller who scans the code onto his phone, to prove collection hastaken place.
It would pay to take a picture of buyer collecting the item and also take a note of car registration.
I would just repeat it is a collection only item
You dont have to post it
You would have to pack it as a courier would not just accept an item with labels
Ask them if they wish to cancel the transaction and for them to send a cancellation request if they do.
Dont cancel without them requesting just wait.

I cant find the information but you used to be able to cancel a transaction as Buyer requests a service I dont offer.
Be careful
In all of this whichever way you go the buyer could leave feedback
You dont need to give any more than the address to collect from and possibly a contact number.
It is up to you about the contact number but I usually give it in case they get lost and cant find me.
What they do with the item after they collect is up to them and up to you if you allow them to use your photos
Surprised they asked especially before they have even collected the item.
Dont cancel as you may be left with the fees and the buyer could leave bad feedback
Wait and see id they collect and what happens next
