Advice on dealing with couriers arranged by a buyer

Hi

I'm currently selling a mac computer for collection only. I've just received an offer saying they'd like to buy but they'd also arrange a courier and all I'd have to do is hand the item over to a driver. They said they'd take full responsibility.

It's a good offer above asking price but I have to admit I'm slightly hesitant because I'm not arranging the courier myself and would have no access to whether the item was delivered etc. So I just wondered if anyone has any similar experiences with this? Would the courier give me proof they collected? Would I receive proof of delivery? I have no idea.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

For collection items, best to request Cash on inspection/pickup = No risk of Chargebacks and later disputes >>

From the policy '...  ask the buyer to sign a copy of the eBay order form at the time of collection.'
