A faulty item: Hitachi Magic Wand Authentic Original HV-260 Serial-Stamped (NOT GOT MY MONEY BACK.!)

Hi there,

I started to use this magic wand for the first time after my surgery and I am very very unhappy with it. The head of the magic wand is made very badly and is falling apart, please see the attached pictures of the head of the wand. The inside is put together with some sort of cheap foam material and secured with sellotape. This keeps on coming lose and the whole casing comes off.

The quality is very poor and I am very upset that I paid all this money for something that is badly made all together.

So I would like a full refund on this item as soon as possible, so I can get myself a better made one.

This has set me back months on the physio now also.

So I email them this on the 13.04.2020  and they came back straight away on the 14.04.2020.

                                                                    -----------------------------------------------------------

The seller came back saying this:

Don't worry.

I'll refund you , you don't need return it back.

I'll do better.
Regards.

                                                                 -----------------------------------------------------------------

I have email them three times now and no reply back from them.

I still have not received my refund on this item as promised by the seller, what can I do now ?

You have not gone about this the right way I am afraid.  You do not enter into discussion with the seller.  You open a "not as described" case in the eBay resolution centre [link below] and the seller should send you a label to return.  You can still do that if the seller is in the UK and if you are within 30 days of delivery. If the seller does nothing you escalate the case to eBay after 8 full days.

I suspect however that the seller is abroad.  Far East?  If so go to Paypal and follow this link

https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/refunded-returns

You have 180 days and you should escalate the case after jjust 2 days.

• If an item received is not as described the first thing you should do is contact the seller to try to resolve things simply

• In the event that requires a return of the item then you should open a not as described case here : http://resolutioncentre.ebay.co.uk/

• As long as the seller is UK based or the original item location was stated as UK then they should issue you with a prepaid tracked label as part of the returns process.......use it, add the tracking number to the case & you should be refunded as soon as delivery is attempted

• Ideally do not opt for a replacement, request a refund & then purchase again from the same or a different seller

• If things do not go smoothly you can escalate the case when it has been open a full 8 days to request eBay to step in

• DO NOT CLOSE THE CASE UNTIL RESOLVED !! Do not believe sellers who say they cannot do anything while the case is open as once closed it cannot be reopened !!

• Do not pay to return the item yourself as eBay cannot force reimbursement of postage charges if you do !!

If over 30 days or you mistakenly closed a case then open the same case in Paypal & escalate within 20 days - DO NOT CLOSE UNTIL RESOLVED

If you're still within 30 days of the delivery date you can open an eBay item not as described dispute and get a full refund.

Click on the Resolution Centre text link at the bottom of this page.

Open an eBay item not as described dispute. Escalate it to ask eBay to step in after 8 days.

If your seller is a UK one, you'll get a pre-paid returns label.
