Aww, how lovely, 😄 I am doing a pirouette, wheeeeeee. :^O
It's mighty hard the ice when face to face with it. :^O

Sorry fairy, stop skating on ice and try our covered arena in the courtyard, roller skates available in all sizes.
The roof, floor, heating and lighting is in place, the catering for the weekend is under control, and we have a local dj coming to try the sound system this afternoon.
There'll be general disco skating on Thursday evening, and Friday, with a competition later Friday night.
The arena is roughly split into two areas, to keep whirling dragons away from lighter and probably less frantic skaters, The barriers will be removed for the competition later on Friday night, and probably replaced afterwards.
Enjoy!

i hope you are all well prepaired, i have your first aid kit ready fairy, should be enough there for everybody, maybe we should have st johns ambulance on site. i am practicing in the lower corridor at present, as it leads down to the dungeons, i am able to build up a quite substantial speed. ]:)had a few near misses with the odd troll, they can move quite fast when they want to:^O i have put some catering size tins of hot chocolate, tea, coffee, in the kitchen, also some party food in the freezer, found some strange shaped bags in there with no lables?:|

I shall have to pretend I didn't hear that you are using skates in the corridor - we said last week that anyone found doing that would be banned from the disco/competition! ]:)

The first disco session is just about heading towards its end, and I can report that everyone has been really sensible! No whirling dervish dragons or showing off, just a lot of disco music and good fun.
The barrier cordonning off the arena into dragon and non-dragon skating seems to have worked well - several dragons doing spins creates an awful lot of wings and air swirling about! The youngest dragons seem to need their wings to balance with, so the general consensus is that the two areas work well. It is after all, a very large courtyard, so both areas are plenty big enough.
The DJ has asked for a different spot, after two dragons collided and tumbled over into his machinery. Happily no real damage was done, and we will sort out a better spot for tomorrow.
The hot snacks and drinks (hot and cold) have gone down well, and everyone is looking forward to tomorrow night.
Mally's idea about the multi coloured flashing roller blades seems to have been taken up by quite a few skaters, the skates look really good in action in dim/dark lighting.

Ready for action!
Fast moving skaters!

Another great evening - we have some really talented skaters!
Three of the young dragons put on a display and wowed as all - turns, jumps and an extraordinary lift. - It's not everyday you see a skating pyramid of dragons!
We're clearing up, but the roof, heaters and flooring can remain for the time being- everyone likes being able to get across the courtyard without getting wet!
Now where have the glitterballs gone to??? ......
*wondering whose cell has gained some extra decorations.....*

great evening, wore out 2 lots of batteries:-D, rather worried about fairy, last seen wildly spining on one leg across the rink, and disapearing into the darkness!!! hope she has learnt how to stop:-(.
we were all impressed by the older dragons skating, though one or two in fancy dress found their costumes a hinderence, though the pantomime horse managed to stay upright,as did the chinese dragon, off for a quick spin before bed

😄
panic over i have found fairy, she had spun off the rink into a cup cake, and was in the process of eating her way out, indicated she did not need help, she should be free by early morning, would have been sooner but the cake was not chocolate.

She will be fine..;-) this is only a light snack by her standards 😮 :^O
