One Word In Common

I just thought I'd try out a new game and see whether it catches on or not.  The object of the game is to post up three words which can be turned into three new words when you write one word before or after all three words without using the space bar when you add the missing word.  So, for example, we could have Bullet...., Shock...., and Water.... - in this example the missing word that all three have in common in order to make three new words is "proof" - ie:  Bulletproof, Shockproof, and Waterproof.  Once you've sussed what the missing word is post up the answer and then submit three new words of your own, stating whether the common word for all three comes before or after all three words.  The game can be as easy or as difficult as you decide to make it, depending on which three words you choose and what the missing common word is.  Just make sure you can remember the answer - if nobody can figure it out and you get asked to reveal the answer you'll have to be prepared to explain what the missing word was!

Seeing as I started the game I'll post up the first three words to start you off.  Have a look and see if you can figure it out...

Actually, the missing word was "Bell"  - ie:  Bluebell, Handbell and Windbell, but occasionally alternative solutions can come to light that would match all three words.

The missing word was Born - ie:  Baseborn , Earthborn and Highborn

I can't think of any words that go together to create one word with all of these three, but the nearest I could get to it without playing by the rules and using one common word to make three two word phrases was Trap.  The missing word has to come before or after all three words and has to go next to each word without using the space bar in order to create three new words, as shown in the example I gave above when I revealed the answer to my previous post.

Anyway, on with the thread:

The missing word that followed the three I left for anyone coming along to guess, was 'less' - Toothless - Backless - Honeyless. 

Honeyless is (destitute of honey)

(someone else might have come by in that next day of me posting mine, who knew the answer)

I don't know your new missing word m25jet.. So nice then I leave it for someone who might know the answer. Not fair if I give up on yours, pass it by, then add new three words of mine.

That was a well thought out one Sweetpeas - it had me completely stuck!  I'll leave my previous post as it is for the time being - if nobody can think of the answer, or if it gets forgotten about as people continue with new posts then I'll reveal the answer so that you know what it was.

The only word I can think of is "Jack" - ie: Jack Rabbit, Jack Daniels and Jack Horner, but the rules state that the missing word must be either the first half or the second half of all three words submitted as clues.  The object of the game is to create three new words using the missing word, which either comes before all three words or after all three words given as clues.
