I have just come back from a walk with the dogs and I heard a load of birds singing 7pm at night in December, I thought they only sang at night if they were trying to find a mate, and thats in the spring,
Confused nature eh!
Also did I not read somewhere we were supposed to be having the coldest winter for 60 years, it was 15 degrees here today!

How glad I am to see this thread!! This morning I had a really weird 'out of time' feeling when I was in the garden & saw to my astonishment, blossom on a cherry tree & buds on the magnolia. I had a real confused moment & had to remind myself that it's only nearly Christmas
Daughter's wedding is on 21st & momentarily I feared I'd missed it

My mad cosmos flowers are still goimg strong, despite seeding themselves right next to the driveway,
growing madly to about five feet tall and having hundreds and hundreds of beautiful flowers. They're
only just beginning to go over now. Hubby is inclined to run them over when coming in the drive and
son has a habit of shutting them in the car door, so it's surprising they've lived at all, let alone this long!
